**Industrial Maintenance Technician - Machine Operator**

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced environment, responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment in our production department.

Butterball, LLC is a leading producer of turkey products in the US, with a strong presence in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and production processes.

**Responsibilities:**

* Set up, operate, and maintain all assigned equipment in the production department
* Perform daily PM's and troubleshoot any issues that arise
* Follow all work safety policies and guidelines
* Perform partial or complete overhauls at specified periods
* Ensure all guarding and safeties are in place and operational
* Troubleshoot and fix problems immediately to prevent breakdowns
* Cross-train in other areas as needed
* Perform other tasks assigned by management

**Education and Experience:**

* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Ability to speak, read, and write English required
* Meet qualification of job requirements to operate equipment
* Excellent attendance and disciplinary record required

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions
* Run product at line speed as scheduled by Operations Supervisor
* Maintain ongoing communication with Supervisors/Managers

**Physical Demands:**

* Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
* Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell
* Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

**Work Environment:**

* Wet and/or humid
* Moving mechanical parts
* Extreme cold
* Electrical and/or vibration shock
