Department/Unit Summary


5A is an acute care medical surgical unit. On a typical day, 6A has 24 patients with a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/patient ratio.-- - --- - -We serve the general population of hospitalized patients with a variety of conditions. The conditions include illnesses, surgery, testing, and observation patients. We take care of patients with comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal and psychiatric issues.-- - -While-- - -caring for our patients is the focus, 5A boasts a strong team environment, improved nurse communication and a commitment to SOVAH Health's core values.-- - -
